Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a precise, permanent hair removal option suitable for all skin tones and hair types. We provide care that is patient, skilled, and affirming, honoring the personal nature of this process.
How it works
Electrolysis destroys hair by targeting the structures inside the hair follicle that allow a hair to grow.
During treatment, a probe is inserted into the hair follicle, an electrical current is then delivered to the base of the follicle, where the cells responsible for hair growth are located. This breaks down those cells so the follicle can no longer produce a new hair.
Electrolysis is suitable for all hair tones, and skin tones making it one of the best options for those seeking permanent hair removal.
Your Electrolysis Journey
Everyone’s hair growth is unique, and the number of sessions needed differ. Factors like hormones, medications, genetics, and health can all play a role.
Additionally, hair grows in cycles, which means not all hairs are visible or treatable at the same time. We can only treat hairs once they reach the active growth stage. Reaching full, lasting results is a process that happens over a series of appointments.
It is common for clients to need regular treatments for 12 months - 3 years depending on the treatment area.
Consistency is key—treatments every 1–3 weeks helps achieve the best results.
Session length is tailored to you and can vary based on a few key factors:
✦ The size of the area being treated
✦ How many hairs are present
✦ The thickness or resistance of the hair
✦ Your personal comfort level.
Some appointments may be shorter and more focused, while others can be longer to clear larger areas efficiently.
We believe in setting realistic expectations from the beginning to ensure your time investment feels informed, intentional, and worthwhile.
Our Technology
We use the Apilus Pur system, known for its advanced, precision-based electrolysis technology.
This allows us to tailor each treatment using thermolysis, galvanic, or blend modalities—selecting the most effective approach based on your hair type, skin, and treatment area for efficient, consistent results.
Thermolysis
Uses heat to destroy the hair follicle. It’s the fastest method and works well for most hair types. Treatments feel quick and efficient.
Galvanic
Uses a chemical reaction in the follicle that breaks it down. This method is slower but very thorough, making it effective on stubborn hairs.
Blend
Combines both heat and chemical action. It offers the precision of galvanic with added speed from thermolysis, making it a great option for coarse, deep, or more resistant hair.
